In my opinion, the most common mistake made in MTT poker is incorrect short-stack play.
When I play an MTT my most important goal is to make it In The Money. Reaching the final table or even winning the game are purely secondary as when you invest time into a game you want some reward for it. The all-or-nothing risks often taken to gain a mega stack are best avoided in my approach.

It is my belief that the best poker players do not play 'by the book' in every situation. In order to have an 'edge' over the rest of the field then you must do something different to them, an approach that they cannot comprehend. Online poker poses the question of any new player as to whether you should be loose aggressive or tight aggressive. In my estimation, the LAGs are slightly more common than TAGs.

I had a very enjoyable afternoon playing in my home game yesterday. Although I didn't win it, I made it ITM and was happy to see an unlikely winner get her biggest ever poker win. She played loose and read my bluffs every time.

I just finished 2nd in the UK freeroll. Maybe I could have won it if the luck went my way.
Too tired to go into much detail but all the big hole cards hit for me. I played tight, stayed tight. This is a personal best I think!
